The Swette Center were blessed with a visitor from France over the last two weeks — Dr. Muriel Mercier-Bonin, a Research Scientist from French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) located in Toulouse, France. Dr. Mercier-Bonin is an expert on interplays of microbiota and mucus in the gut and roles of environmental stress factors affecting human health. Dr. Mercier-Bonin came to Biodesign to exchange ideas on microbial-nanoparticle interactions affecting the human health and to extend collaborations with Drs. Marcus, Krajmalnik-Brown, and Rittmann. We really enjoyed her visit. Dr. Mercier-Bonin will visit The Big Apple with her daughter on her way back. We wish them safe travel.
