We are pleased and sad to announce that Sarah Arrowsmith soon will be transitioning to be a Safety Specialist in ASU Facilities Management, which provides service for all of ASU’s Knowledge Enterprise (KE). She will be joining KE on or around October 17, although she will be available to help both centers on an as-needed basis after the 17th. We attach a message from Sarah about her transition.
We will be very sad to lose Sarah’s day-to-day presence, but we also celebrate that we have contributed to Sarah’s professional growth and that she can extend her good work to more of ASU. Safety at ASU will benefit greatly from her inputs and influence. We are glad (albeit not happy) to contribute to the greater good of ASU in this way.
The Centers will immediately begin a search to find a full-time replacement for Sarah’s position. We anticipate that this will take most of the rest of 2022. In the interim, we have a plan to make sure that someone is taking care of the many functions Sarah has been carrying out. The team of Everett Eustance, Chris Muse, Sergio Avalle, and Carole Flores is stepping in to ensure that the Centers’ laboratories remain safe and efficient in the interim.
