Krajmalnik-Brown Lab Microbiota Transfer Therapy Research Featured in Scientific Reports

Research by members of the Rosa Krajmalnik-Brown and James Adams programs at Arizona State University is featured in a new study, “Long-Term Benefit of Microbiota Transfer Therapy in Autism Symptoms and Gut Microbiota,” published in Scientific Reports. The study demonstrates that Microbiota Transfer Therapy provides long-term benefits for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

ABC 15 Arizona picked up the story and featured Rosa Krajmalnik-Brown and Daewook Kang.

The Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University also produced this article and video featuring James Adams and Rosa Krajmalnik-Brown talking about their collaborations in more depth. ASU Now featured the story as well. This news has generated a great deal of interest and inquiry!

    Greetings!

    Will you be doing more studies like these or know of other researchers in the US that will be doing more studies like this? Or where we parents can go for medical treatments available like this for those with autism. I have a child who is autistic and was searching around for those who do this type of fecal microbial transplant which is very hard to find. Most, if not all applications I’ve come across are largely focused on IBS, IBD and Colitis. Can someone please reply?
